THEO 101 film series kicks off with ‘Pulp Fiction’ Oct. 10

The THEO 101 film series will feature the 1994 movie “Pulp Fiction” at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, in Room 126, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts. A discussion of the film will follow.

“Pulp Fiction” was directed by Quentin Tarantino. Staring in the movie are: John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman and Ving Rhames.

“ ‘Pulp Fiction’ packs so much energy and invention into telling its nonchronologically interwoven short stories (all about temptation, corruption, and redemption amongst modern criminals, large and small) it leaves viewers both exhilarated and exhausted – hearts racing and knuckles white from the ride. (Oh, and the infectious, surf-guitar-based soundtrack is tastier than a Royale with Cheese.)” – Jim Emerson, Amazon.com editorial

This movie showing and discussion is the first in the THEO 101 film series for 2005-06. All students and faculty are welcome.
