Two ways are available – one of them today only – to help three University of St. Thomas students who lost their possessions in a house fire near campus early Saturday, Dec. 11.
Michael “Carson” Larson, a 20-year-old St. Thomas sophomore, died in the fire. A memorial service will be held here at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas.
Davanni’s fundraiser today only
Four St. Thomas students who lived next door to Larson have organized a fundraiser that will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today only, Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Davanni’s restaurant at Cleveland and Grand avenues in St. Paul.
Davanni’s will donate 20 percent of all orders placed between 4 and 8 p.m. to the UST Student Emergency Fund. The offer is good for dine-in and carry-out orders, but not for delivery orders. Tommie eXpress Cards cannot be used with the fundraiser offer.
A “Special Fundraiser Night” coupon must be used when paying for the order. You can go here to view and print the coupon, or pick up a coupon at one of four campus locations: Dean of Students Office, Room 101, Murray-Herrick Campus Center; Campus Life Office, Room 110, Murray-Herrick Campus Center; Commuter Center, lower level of Murray-Herrick Campus Center; and the Koch Commons desk.
