Division of Student Affairs Opens Tommie Award Nomination Process

Tommie Award nominations are now being accepted by the Division of Student Affairs.

The Tommie Award is presented annually to a University of St. Thomas senior. Students, faculty and staff are invited to submit nominations for a senior who best represents the ideals of St. Thomas Aquinas through his or her scholarship, leadership and campus involvement.

Nominees must have academic status as a senior, graduate no later than December 2012, and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75.

Visit the Tommie Award website to obtain nomination materials. The deadline for completed applications is 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14. Late entries will not be accepted. All nomination materials must be submitted electronically to tommieaward@stthomas.edu. Students are welcome to nominate themselves.

Preliminary online voting for nominees will be Dec 5-7. Three finalists will be selected from the preliminary voting. Final voting will take place in February 2012, and the Tommie Award will be presented in May 2012.
