Trotter's to host film-and-discussion event March 14

Trotter’s Cafe and Bakery will host an evening event, “A Warm Place To Talk,” with a film, coffee and dessert and a discussion at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Trotter’s, 232 N. Cleveland Ave. in St. Paul. There’s free parking in back behind Midway Cleaners.

The film to be shown is “Voices of Minnesota Farm Women,” a documentary profiling 10 Minnesota women farmers in today’s agricultural economy: their lives, their view and daily work.

Trotter’s will provide dessert and coffee during the discussion. The cafe is open for dinner until 7 p.m., so come early and use your eXpress card to buy a meal before the movie.

This film-and-discussion event is presented and led by Dana Jackson, director of the Farm and City Food Connection Program at Land Stewardship Project. She will address questions such as: How can consumers buy food produced by local farms and support those who practice good land stewardship, and are there enough farmers in our region to support the demand?
