Undergraduates: Make sure you are registered officially in all classes by Friday, Feb. 13

From the Financial Aid Office

The Financial Aid Office will review your official registration as of the 10th day of classes (Friday, Feb. 13) and will revise financial aid if necessary. Be sure that you are registered officially in all of your classes by Friday, Feb. 13, including those for which you are waitlisted.

Here is a general guide to how financial aid awards may change based upon your official registration as of the 10th day of classes each semester:

Awards that require 15 or more credits

  • Minnesota State Grant

To receive the maximum state grant, recipients must be enrolled in at least 15 credits each semester. If you are registered for less than 15 credits, your Minnesota State Grant will be reduced accordingly.

Awards that require 12 or more credits

  • University of St. Thomas grants, scholarships and awards
  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
  • Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
  • National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (SMART)
  • Federal Direct Loan
  • Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan
  • Federal Perkins Loan
  • Federal or State Work Study
  • Private educational loans
  • Private scholarships

You must be registered officially in 12 or more credits per semester to receive your maximum award. If you are registered for less than 12 credits, the funds listed above will be reduced or canceled.

Any UST scholarships or awards that are based on actual tuition will be modified to reflect your actual tuition charges after the 10th day of classes.
