UST Crew heads to Texas for spring break training

The University of St. Thomas Crew team is heading to Austin, Texas, for spring break training. The 34 rowers will have two-hour practices twice a day next to such schools as the University of Minnesota, University of Texas and University of Tennessee.

The week is dedicated to technical rowing in order to prepare for two national competitions later in the spring. The men's team is coming off a fall season as the fastest Division 3 club-eight in the nation and is expected to gain more speed to beat some of the Division 1 programs in the sprints.

The women's team is progressing equally as well and crushing its previous records.

The week is capped off by a race in Oklahoma City against the University of Oklahoma.
