- "One more time for Morse," St. Paul Pioneer Press, June 28, 2008. "The 6-foot-5 [Greg] Morse, headed to the University of St. Thomas in the fall, is the first City Conference quarterback to compete in the all-star game since Central's Nate Hunkins in 2001. Morse will alternate with Eden Prairie quarterback Ryan Grant for the Metro All-Stars. … ' St. Thomas is getting a steal,' said Osseo coach Darrin Lamker, offensive coordinator for the Metro All-Stars. 'They're getting a D1 player. His arm strength is the best I've seen in 14 years of coaching high school and college football.' Lamker plans to use variations of a spread offense to help showcase Morse and Grant's passing abilities, which means the Metro might not run the ball much. The strategy works for Morse, who wants to use the game to help prepare for St. Thomas. First-year Tommies coach Glen Caruso said he will attend the game." https://origin.twincities.com/prep/ci_9723748
- "Vikings' Udeze, brother: Bonded to the bone," Star Tribune, July 1, 2008. "When the Vikings' Kenechi Udeze has a bone marrow transplant this week, brother Thomas Barnes will be the donor, cementing the relationship they've had since childhood. … Long before Udeze became a standout football player at the University of Southern California, [Thomas] Barnes realized a career in sports wasn't in his future and turned his attention to academics. He attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated from law school at the University of Minnesota. When Udeze [Barnes' brother] was selected by the Vikings in the first round of the 2004 draft, Barnes was living in the Twin Cities and helped negotiate his brother's contract." https://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/22740929.html
