  • "Construction halted on SuperTarget in Inver Grove Heights," Business Journal, Jan. 16, 2009.   • "A day to party, and you're invited," St. Paul Pioneer Press, Jan. 17, 2009. "There seem to be more outside-the-Beltway festivities than usual," said Nancy Zingale, professor emeritus of political science at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. She attributed the phenomenon to a couple of factors: the historic significance of the first black president and President-elect Barack Obama's heavy use of the Internet to mobilize volunteers and donors during his campaign. "These enthusiastic supporters have kept in touch and can organize pretty effortlessly," Zingale said. On her first trip out of the country during her freshman year, she went to Australia. The sports columnist reports, " Saturday will be nostalgic for Dan Halvorsen, a 6-7 former record-setting Owatonna basketball star whose 6-8 son, Valparaiso-bound Chris of Sibley, will play against Kaukauna High (Wis.) on the same floor his father did 40 years ago.
