“Governor’s Office: Pawlenty names 2 to steer transition,” St. Paul Pioneer Press, Nov. 9, 2002. Among those leading Pawlenty’s transition team is Chris Georgacas, lobbyist, former state Republican Party chairman and the chairman of Pawlenty's gubernatorial campaign. He is a principal and shareholder at Goff & Howard, a public relations and lobbying firm based in St. Paul, and is a registered lobbyist at the Capitol. He lists UST as one of his clients.
