UST School of Law to host panel of former Minnesota Supreme Court justices Nov. 1

Four former Minnesota Supreme Court justices will give law students and the legal community insight into the workings of the high court in a panel discussion, "The Minnesota Supreme Court: Reflections on its Past, Present and Future," from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Schulze Grand Atrium of the University of St. Thomas School of Law in downtown Minneapolis.

Panelists will include two former chief justices, Kathleen Blatz and former lieutenant governor A.M. ("Sandy") Keith, and two former associate justices, Esther Tomljanovich and John Simonett. Marianne Short, managing partner of the Dorsey & Whitney law firm, will moderate the discussion.

This event is sponsored by the university's Thomas E. Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership in the Professions, Law Mentor Externship Program, and School of Law.  CLE credits have been applied for, and students will receive mentor credit for attending.

Reservations are requested for the event and can be sent to lawrsvp@stthomas.edu.
