UST's Dr. Britain Scott to give talk about women's objectification and its effect on their environmental behaviors
Dr. Britain Scott, associate professor in the UST College of Arts and Sciences' Psychology Department, will give a presentation, "Babes and the Woods: Women's Objectification and the Feminine Beauty Ideal as Ecological Hazards," from noon to 1 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, April 16, in Room LL01, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts.
Scott is a social psychologist whose current research focuses on how sexual objectification of women may negatively affect their connectedness to nature and their environmental behaviors.
