T.R. Reid, a journalist whose most recent book is The Healing of America: A Global Quest for Better, Cheaper and Fairer Health Care, will discuss his experiences covering health care and international issues in a lecture at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, in the auditorium of O’Shaughnessy Educational Center on the St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas.
His talk, part of Minnesota Public Radio’s 2010-2011 Broadcast Journalist Series, is co-sponsored by St. Thomas' College of Arts and Sciences and the Communication and Journalism Department.

As a journalist, Reid has reported from three dozen countries on five continents. He has been Washington Post’s bureau chief in Tokyo and London, has covered Congress and has reported on four presidential campaigns.
He also has written and hosted documentary films for National Geographic TV, PBS and the A&E network. He is a regular commentator on National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition.”
