VIA Asks for Help to Serve 200 Homeless at Annual Holiday Dinner

Two hundred homeless adults from the St. Paul area will be served an elegant meal at the annual Volunteers In Action (VIA) Holiday Dinner on Saturday, Dec. 4. Dinner will be served from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 304, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

Volunteers are needed for a number of tasks: decorations, set-up, clean-up, kitchen help, serving dinner, and enjoying the holiday meal with the guests. Everyone in the UST community – students, faculty and staff – are invited to lend a hand.

"Our Holiday Dinner is a memorable and rewarding experience for everyone in attendance," remarked Sarah Muwonge, a VIA site leader. "You won't be disappointed, and neither will our guests."

Volunteer sign-up begins Monday, Nov. 22. Sign up at the VIA bulletin board (to the right of the Information Desk) in the Murray-Herrick Campus Center "Blue Lagoon."
