Wellness Center announces evening mindfulness classes for spring

The Wellness Center is sponsoring evening mindfulness classes on the St. Paul campus starting next week. These programs are experiential, life-affirming and fun.

Here are the class schedules:

  • "Stress Less, Get Focused, Find Balance: Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation" – 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 4, 11 and 18
  • "Continuing Mindfulness Meditation" – 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, April 15, 22 and 29

The cost for each three-week series is: $95 for UST students, faculty and staff ($125 for the public).

Mindfulness is the practice of cultivating nonjudgmental awareness in day-to-day life. It develops the potential to experience each moment, no matter how difficult or intense, with greater serenity and clarity.

Mindfulness meditation helps restore and maintain a sense of personal balance and develops the skills to avoid emotional, physical and professional burnout. It benefits health issues such as stress, sleep disorders, headaches, depression, fatigue, anxiety, GI distress, chronic pain and illness.
