What can you do with an English major?

What can you do with an English major? Find out from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, in the O'Shaughnessy Room (the "leather room") of O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center.

The session, presented by Sigma Tau Delta/Literary Club and the English Department, includes career-planning information from the St. Thomas Career Development Center and a presentation by alumni with undergraduate and graduate degrees in English.

The career discussion includes career-planning services available to English students, a typical career-planning timeline for undergraduates, information about internship resources and more.

The four alumni guests work or have worked in a variety of areas, including the creative services department of Minnesota Public Radio and American Public Media, a government office at the state Capitol, education and library sciences, and the legal profession.
