Women’s basketball team to 'Get in the 'Pink Zone'

The University of St. Thomas women’s basketball team will "Get in the Pink Zone" at its game Wednesday, Feb. 4, against the College of St. Catherine.

The game, played in Schoenecker Arena, begins at 7:30 p.m.

The “Pink Zone” initiative was created to raise breast cancer awareness and to provide participants and fans a way to support this important cause.

Breast cancer is the most common invasive cancer among women in the United States, accounting for nearly one out of every three cancers diagnosed. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and participate in the activities at the game.

Pink Zone T-shirts will be available for UST students while supplies last, an airplane toss ($1 per entry) will take place at halftime, and donations will be accepted and will go toward breast cancer research.

The event is sponsored by the women’s basketball team.
