The Health Professions Advisory Committee invites all St. Thomas students who plan to apply to health professions schools (medical, dental, veterinary, physician's assistant, optometry, etc.) in the next cycle to attend a workshop on Thursday, March 17. The workshop will be held from 11:45 to 1:15 p.m. in Room 250, Owens Science Hall.
Participants will examine the application process and details, including: choosing schools, letters of references, personal statements, preparing for the interview and identifying gaps in their preparations.
Discussion will be led by Dr. Roxanne Prichard, assistant professor of psychology; Dr. Larry Savett, UST adjunct faculty and retired clinical professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota; and St. Thomas students who have been accepted to health professions programs.
