Your chance at $10,000 is right around the corner! This year’s Fowler Business Concept Challenge submission deadline is November 2, and submissions are starting to roll in. The Fowler is for anyone with a business idea who wishes to further explore it and gain insights and advice from successful alumni and entrepreneurs. To date almost $300,000 has been given away to Tommies for their great ideas!
Students just need to complete a five-page executive summary and submit by November 2, on the Fowler website. Semifinals and finals are on Friday, November 20. There are three divisions of competition, with $19,500 available to each:
- Undergraduate
- Graduate
- Social Venture (graduate and undergraduate students compete with business concepts structured to drive social change through a systemic, sustainable business model)

In last year’s competition, students came from 25 disciplines. Of the 12 winning teams, 11 areas of study were represented.
Submissions are due November 2 and you can get help with your idea at the Fowler Frenzie on Thursday, October 29, from 6-9 p.m. in ASC 341. Meet one on one with entrepreneurship faculty and get helpful hints for improving your business concept.
