Alumni Association invites UST community to
June 24 Ordway performance of 'Singin’ in the Rain'
Enjoy the best of Broadway without leaving St. Paul! The St. Thomas Alumni Association has planned a magical evening of theater for the 8 p.m. performance of "Singin' in the Rain" Wednesday, June 24, at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.
A private St. Thomas pre-show reception will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Marzitelli Foyer. An "Ordway Extra" will follow at 7 p.m. on the main floor, where you can hear about the evolution of "Singin' in the Rain" from the movie screen to a musical on Broadway from co-director, choreographer and Ordway Center's associate artistic director, Jayme McDaniel. Learn what kind of stamina is behind all of that dancing, in all of that rain! The Ordway also is offering a post-show "talkback" with the actors and directors in the Main Hall following the performance.
Preferred-seating tickets for the evening's performance and the reception are $73.50 per person and may be ordered online at the Alumni Association Web site – click on Events.
St. Thomas has a limited ticket allotment, but there is no per-person limit. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, May 22. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are nonrefundable. Your tickets will be available on the evening of June 24 at the St. Thomas reception registration table.
