Anxiety In Teens Nonprofit Recruits BUSN200, Psychology, COJO Students

Looking for a student-run BUSN200 website that makes a difference in the lives of youth and families dealing with mental illness? Want to gain skill in social media marketing, event planning and management, journalism, working with kids, and peer mentorship? Perhaps you have experienced an anxiety disorder, depression, substance abuse, eating disorder, etc.

Anxiety In Teens, an online mental health magazine for youth and families, is recruiting students seeking Business 200 credit and also filling a number of its leadership positions. The organization hosts fun and educational events for youth and college students to offer information, inspiration and community.

Anxiety In Teens is seeking student volunteers as early as Sunday, Sept. 30, for an all-day event with one of its partners, Washburn Center for Children.

Students who are interested in these opportunities should email Jimmy Jara or Solome Tibebu, or visit members of the organization at the BUSN200 Fair Thursday, Sept. 20. The fair will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in McNeely Hall.

Anxiety In Teens was founded in 2006 by Solome Tibebu ’12 after she experienced her own anxiety throughout middle and high school yet could not find resources online, especially for youth.
