Ethics and the Gulf oil disaster

MPR's Midmorning today had a great segment on business ethics:

Corporations spend millions on assuring the public that they are helping the environment and/or acting as ethical citizens. But can a company really have a conscience?

If you have the time, it is definitely worth a listen. I was intrigued by their discussion of the future of the workplace and how more young workers are really looking to work for a company with strong values—not just one that will push to make the most money.

One of the guests, Bill George, former CEO of Medtronic discussed the tricky issue of calling a recall of a medical device—something UST MBA students also considered with George during a Professional Friday visit to Medtronic, a few years ago.
