Great Books Reading Group to discuss some of Anton Chekhov's short stories
You're invited to join St. Thomas' Great Books Reading Group, which reads a book (or stories) and meets to discuss it each month.
The group will discuss some of Anton Chekhov's short stories from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, in Room 388, Owens Science Hall, St. Paul campus.
The short stories are: "Rothschild's Fiddle," "Gooseberries," "The Darling," and "The Lady With the Dog."
Selections for the next few months are:
- April 19 : Into Africa by Martin Dugard
- May 17: The Lost Painting: The Quest for a Caravaggio Masterpiece by Jonathan Harr
All books are available in the university's St. Paul campus Bookstore. Look for the Great Books poster near the customer service desk.
Refreshments are served and everyone's invited. Bring a friend!
