Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership Names Fellow

The Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership has appointed  Christopher Michaelson, Ph.D., from the Opus College of Business, as a fellow.

According to Professor Neil Hamilton, Director of the Holloran Center, "Professor Michaelson will make a great contribution to the center's mission of interdisciplinary research and curriculum development focusing on the formation of business and law students into ethical leaders. We are all looking forward a great deal to working with him to strengthen our ties to the Opus College of Business faculty and to do more outreach to foster professional formation for business managers."

The Holloran Center’s mission is to provide innovative interdisciplinary research, curriculum development and programs focusing holistically on the formation of both students and practicing professionals into ethical leaders in their communities.

Michaelson's teaching and research focuses on meaningful work as a central concern of business ethics, using art, literature, and film to explore work values in a rebalancing global economy.

"I hope this arrangement will strengthen ties between the law and business schools and our respective efforts to develop effective professionals whose commitment to personal values helps them succeed in work and in life," said Michaelson.

Michaelson is experienced in business practice in risk management and corporate responsibility, with clients from major private sector multinationals as well as multilateral financial institutions, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy (ethics/aesthetics) from the University of Minnesota.
