N.J. Wunrow, circulation supervisor and reserves coordinator, O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center, came closest to responding correctly to the “How well do you know UST?” question posed last week by Institutional Research and Analysis: “How many institutional surveys were conducted during the 2008-2009 academic year?” The answer: 15. It's found on the back page of the 2008-09 Survey Fact Book – "University of St. Thomas Five-Year Survey Cycle."
This week’s question is: “Which satisfaction measure did the students respond to as the most important?”

In fall 2009, UST administered the faculty advising survey to incoming freshmen. The data from this survey is used to highlight FTFY student perceptions concerning their satisfaction with the advising process as well as to ascertain the perceived importance of the satisfaction measures.
A fact sheet, “Faculty Advisor Survey 2009: First Time, First-Year Student Satisfaction with Faculty Advising,” was developed to present the results for the satisfaction aspect of faculty advising. The Faculty Advisor Survey addresses priorities Access (A1d,) and Excellence (E2f, E3c) in the UST Strategic Plan.
The fifth person who responds to instresearch@stthomas.edu with the correct answer to today’s question will be acknowledged in this column next Monday, Feb. 1. Each month, those who submit a correct response to any of the IR&A weekly Bulletin Today questions during the month will have the opportunity to win a UST coffee mug through a random drawing.
