Tyler Schipper, associate professor of economics in the University of St. Thomas College of Arts and Sciences, spoke with WCCO-TV about the surge in vehicle repossessions and the financial pressures behind it. He said higher car prices, rising interest rates, climbing insurance costs and more expensive repairs are pushing many borrowers to the brink, with lower income households feeling the strain most intensely.
