Human Resources reminds benefits-eligible employees age 65 or younger they have until Friday, April 27, to enroll in long-term care insurance as a guaranteed issue, which means no medical pre-existing condition restrictions will apply. After this deadline, the insurance will continue to be available for purchase without the guaranteed issue, and normal underwriting restrictions will apply.
Genworth is the University of St. Thomas’ new long-term care insurance provider.
Two additional informational meetings have been scheduled for this week:
- St. Paul campus: Noon-1 p.m. Thursday, April 26; Murray-Herrick Campus Center, Room 155
- Minneapolis campus: Noon-1 p.m. Friday, April 27; Terrence Murphy Hall, Room 401
