Dr. Louis Ling, associate dean for graduate medical education at the University of Minnesota Medical School-Twin Cities, and emergency room physician at Hennepin County Medical Center, will speak on campus tomorrow at an event hosted by the Minority Students in Science Club. All St. Thomas students interested in the sciences and health professions are welcome to attend.
Ling’s presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, in Room 126, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
In addition to his position at the U of M, Ling is the associate medical director for medical education at the Hennepin County Medical Center, and senior associate medical director for the Hennepin Regional Poison Center/Minnesota Poison Control System. He has practiced emergency medicine for more than 25 years at Hennepin County Medical Center. He has published in the medical toxicology field and he is co-editor of five textbooks on medical toxicology and emergency medicine.
