Emily Dickinson Reading Marathon on April 29
For National Poetry Month, St. Thomas will host its fourth Emily Dickinson Reading Marathon on April 29, 8 a.m.- 9:30 p.m. in Room 108 at the O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library. Readers from across the St. Thomas community will drop in to take turns reading Dickinson's poems aloud, in order, from No. 1 to No. 1,789. Visitors are encouraged to come and go throughout the day.

Celebrating Passover and Palm Sunday This Weekend

As members of the University of St. Thomas community prepare to celebrate religious holidays this coming week, we extend warm wishes for reflection, peace, and renewal, however you observe. Palm Sunday on April 13 marks the beginning of Holy Week in the Christian tradition, commemorating Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. Passover, an eight-day holiday that begins Saturday night April 12, in the Jewish tradition, honors the story of the Israelites' liberation from slavery in Egypt. May this season inspire hope and connection across our diverse community.

April 10: Learn About AI and Access to Justice

The School of Law is kicking off its AI Summit series with an inaugural Summit with the St. Thomas Law Journal's Editor in Chief Symposium lecture "AI and Access to Justice." This presentation at 12:30 p.m. on April 10 will delve into the critical challenge of leveraging AI to address the access to justice crisis.

On April 23, we will recognize our six 2025 honorees in James B. Woulfe Alumni Hall on our St. Paul campus. New this year, the program will be livestreamed. Register by April 11.

April 25: Dick Schulze Connects at Finding Forward

Hear from the legendary entrepreneur as Finding Forward concludes its 2024-25 season. Together with President Rob Vischer, Dick Schulze, the founder of Best Buy and namesake on the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship, will discuss the power of connection and community in the entrepreneurial world. The evening gets underway at 6:30 p.m. on April 25 inside the Richard M. Schulze Auditorium on the Minneapolis campus. The event is free, but registration is required.
