Take Part in Celebrating the Jewish New Year

Campus Ministry and Minnesota Hillel invite the campus community to celebrate the Jewish New Year. Students of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome to join as the Jewish High Holidays begin with the two-day holiday of Rosh Hashanah on Wednesday evening, Oct. 2. Come hear Tru Pettigrew, who was the first chief impact officer for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx. He'll speak Thursday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. in Room LL16C at the Iversen Center for Faith. The conversation, presented by Dr. Yohuru WIlliams, director of the Racial Justice Initiative at St. Thomas, will be moderated by James Burroughs, the chief equity and inclusion officer for Children's Minnesota. Pettigrew will discuss bridge building lessons he's learned while at the Timberwolves in relation to building community after the murder of George Floyd.
