Post your department’s student employment positions online

With the buzz of student orientation on campus many of you have started gearing up for the start of fall semester. We, once again, have a large first-year class and many students already are looking for jobs on campus. So, please be sure to define your student employment opportunities and post as early as possible by visiting the Student Employment Web page.
As always, if your unit plans to hire student employees for the academic year, try to give as many students as possible the chance to work. For example, if your unit has a need for 20 hours of student employment, hire two or three students instead of only one to fill that need.
If you need help with the student employment process or are just looking for a refresher, sign up today for “Hiring and Managing Student Employees” at one of the following training sessions through the Leadership Academy:
- 10 a.m. - noon Tuesday, Aug. 15, in Room 350, Terrence Murphy Hall
- 10 a.m. - noon Thursday, Aug. 24, in Room 155, Murray- Herrick Campus Center
- 10 a.m. - noon Thursday, Sept. 14, Minneapolis campus – location to be decided
- 10 a.m. - noon Thursday, Sept. 28, in Room 155, Murray- Herrick Campus Center
