South Campus Ramp Reopens Aug. 25; Drive Reopens Aug. 29

The Anderson Parking Facility will reopen Monday, Aug. 25, and the south campus drive from Grand and Cretin avenues will reopen for through traffic on Friday, Aug. 29.

The ramp was closed July 30 to reseal and restripe the parking decks. The drive from Cretin to the St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity has been closed since March 31 to allow for construction of the Facilities and Design Center and to make improvements along the drive.

Ryan Companies is finishing its work on rebuilding the drive. The project will enhance pedestrian safety, with a new east-west sidewalk along the south side of the greenhouse and better lighting, and a curb-and-gutter system will improve drainage in the area.

Ryan will complete the Facilities and Design Center in mid-September and the $6.5 million, 32,000-square-foot building will be operational by Oct. 1. The center will be the home for central receiving, recycling, and equipment maintenance and storage operations and will provide additional laboratory space for the School of Engineering.
