CultureLink Tea: 'Welcome to St. Lucia'

Agnes Alphonse, an international student from St. Lucia who is studying social work at UST, will speak today, Thursday, Oct. 20, at International Student Services’ second CultureLink Tea for 2011-12. She will talk about her picturesque home country, which remains relatively unspoiled with green mountains, valleys, wild orchids, fishing villages and volcanic rock beaches.

The CultureLink Tea series features different countries in monthly presentations. Today’s presentation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. in Room 155, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. See beautiful St. Lucia through Alphonse’s eyes. Enjoy tea and St. Lucia sugar cakes, ask questions and engage in discussion. The event is free and open to everyone.

Mark your calendar: The next CultureLink Tea, presented by Helen Werner from Germany, will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in Room 155, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
