The Non-Exempt Staff Council seeks nominations for the Staff Council Appreciation Award. This award annually honors a non-exempt (hourly) staff member who lives and promotes the mission of the University of St. Thomas: “Inspired by Catholic intellectual tradition, the University of St. Thomas educates students to be morally responsible leaders who think critically, act wisely and work skillfully to advance the common good.”
Ways in which a non-exempt staff member would live or promote the mission of the university may include but are not limited to:
- Active participation in the UST community
- Extending a helping or welcoming hand to other St. Thomas community members
- Engaging in volunteer involvement beyond the job, within or outside St. Thomas
- Contributing to a positive environment and culture at UST
To nominate a non-exempt staff member for the award, submit a one-page statement describing how the nominee exemplifies the UST mission and has made significant contributions to the community. In addition to the statement, nominators should include the following information for their nominees and themselves: name, department, mail number, email address and phone number.
Send nominations to the Non-Exempt Staff Council at Mail #4077 or via email to the Staff Council. The deadline for award nominations is 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22. The recipient will be recognized at the Staff Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday, March 20.
