I recently read an email where a UST MBA hopeful wrote, “I would like to peruse the Evening UST MBA Program at this time.”
Frankly, our curriculum is far too involved for a mere perusal. So I have two words for all of my readers today, proof read! I assume this candidate meant to write, “I would like to pursue…”
We are privileged to live in an era of automatic spell check. Many of our word processing programs will fix our spelling errors for us as we type. But a mere spell check is not enough to create a top-quality essay submission or sensible, professional email response. Your materials need to be proofread for content and grammar as well as spelling.
Take it from me, proofreading and spell check are two different things. We all need to use them both!
