The nomination process for the 2011 Tommie Award will begin Monday, Oct. 25. The award is presented annually to a University of St Thomas senior.
All students, faculty and staff are invited to nominate seniors who best represent the ideals of St. Thomas Aquinas through their scholarship, leadership and campus involvement. Nominees must have academic status as a senior, graduate no later than December 2011, and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75.
Nomination materials will be available beginning Monday on the Tommie Award Web site. Students are welcome to nominate themselves. Completed nomination materials should be emailed to tommieaward@stthomas.edu. All nominations must be received by 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15; late entries will not be accepted.
Preliminary online voting for nominees will be Dec. 6-8. Three finalists will be selected from the preliminary voting. Final voting will take place in February 2011, and the Tommie Award will be presented in March 2011.
