“Troubling Waters: Discussions on Meanings and Messages in Popular Culture and Film,” an ongoing UST American Culture and Difference series of interdisciplinary discussions on power, race, gender and culture in American film, will continue from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 3. The event will be held in the auditorium, Room 126, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts.
Dr. Paola Ehrmantraut, Modern and Classical Languages; Dr. Olga Herrera, English Department; Mike Klein, Justice and Peace Studies; and Francisca Marino, University Relations, will show film excerpts and raise issues for discussion.
The series, free and open to the public, is sponsored by St. Thomas’ American Culture and Difference program, an interdisciplinary minor of the College of Arts and Sciences.
