The winner of the inaugural St. Thomas Business Plan Competition added more hardware to his growing trophy case. Jeremy Little, a junior who previously won the Fowler Business Concept Challenge and swept the awards at the Minnesota Inventors Congress last April with his Unique Pontoons, took home $15,000 cash to help launch his company.
Pitching to a panel of 10 judges from around the Midwest, Little was named the top collegiate business plan, winning $10,000. He also was the People’s Choice winner amongst the crowd, earning an additional $5,000. In total, $36,000 was awarded to undergraduate and high school students competing.
