  • “Editorial: Bill Kling makes a very easy target,” Star Tribune, March 3, 2006. “Odious and discriminatory as Seifert's 2005 requirement on MPR was, his 2006 effort to extend the disclosure to all nonprofits is worse. That takes in Lutheran Social Services, the University of St. Thomas, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Guthrie Theater and literally thousands more. Seifert doesn't believe that paying nonprofit executives more than the governor is justified, and so he wants to embarrass those that do.” https://www.startribune.com/561/story/281583.html
  • “Business Forum: Deere thrives by values others just claim,” Star Tribune, March 5, 2006. About this column’s author: “Fred Zimmerman retired as a professor at the University of St. Thomas at the end of 2005. Since that time, he and his wife, Joanell, have been visiting children, factories, and presidential libraries. She likes presidential libraries and he likes factories. Both like their children, of course. His e-mail is zimco@visi.com.” https://www.startribune.com/146/story/283565.html
  • “State reacts with tears, favorite stories,” St. Paul Pioneer Press, March 7, 2006. “Inside the Metrodome on Monday evening, a college baseball game was under way. The Dome looked nearly empty as a hundred or so fans watched the game between St. Mary's University of Winona and Dickinson State University of North Dakota. John Tschida, 38, a softball coach at the University of St. Thomas, learned of Puckett's death while watching the game. Tschida pointed up to the large photos of Puckett and other Twins greats hanging above the outfield. ‘You look up, and you see that smile,’ Tschida said.” https://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/news/local/14034853.htm
