UST Staff Open Forum is April 22
Join your staff colleagues for an open forum from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, in Room 304, Murray-Herrick Campus Center (St. Paul campus), or in Thornton Auditorium, Terrence Murphy Hall (Minneapolis campus).
The UST staff forums are a joint effort of the Non-Exempt Staff Council and proposed Exempt Staff Council. The forums are intended to provide an opportunity for communication among and between university administration and staff on topics of interest to the university community.
Last fall's forum included an update on the proposed medical school and campus construction plans. These forums are becoming an important means for making sure that staff are aware of changes in the university environment.
Three topics will be addressed at the spring staff forum:
- UST Cares program
Are you prepared in the event of a campus crisis? Is your office organized to respond to a potentially threatening situation? Have you registered your phone to be called in the event of a crisis? Come and learn about resources and services available to you through the UST Cares program at this interactive presentation. Addressing these topics will be: Jane Canney, vice president for student affairs; Geri Rockett, director of personal counseling; Tim Beyers, psychologist, Personal Counseling; and Mike Barrett, associate director of public safety and parking services. - Budget update
Mark Vangsgard, chief financial officer and vice president for business affairs, will update staff on the current UST budget and projections for the future. - Retreats for staff: revitalize, renew, build community and learn
What topics and formats work for the UST community? Don Beyers, Campus Ministry, and Marlene Levine, Gainey Center, will survey attendees at our forum about interest in rebuilding staff retreats.
For those who are unable to attend, the forum will be recorded and streamed for viewing. The link for viewing the recorded forum will be announced as soon as it is available.
