Summary Annual Report on St. Thomas Retirement Plan now Available

Each year the University of St. Thomas is required, under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), to file an annual report with the Department of Labor on the financial status of the St. Thomas Retirement Plan and to make available to participants of the plan a summary of that report.

The report (called a Form 5500) for the plan year ending Aug. 31, 2011, has been filed. The Summary Annual Report can be viewed on the Benefits/Retirement page of the Human Resources website (or pdf file here).

The report covers the ERISA-qualified plan to which the university contributes on behalf of employees. It does not cover the Voluntary Retirement Arrangement under which employees voluntarily choose to contribute tax-deferred dollars.
