Discuss power, race, gender and culture in clips from three films Nov. 2

Students and faculty are invited to a viewing and discussion of excerpted films: "The Truman Show," "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days," and "Do the Right Thing."

This event is part of the series "Troubling Waters: Discussions on Meanings and Messages in Popular Culture and Film." Issues to be addressed are power, race, gender and culture in society.

Free and open to the public, this event will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, in Room 126, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts.

The "Troubling Waters" series of interdisciplinary discussions is co-sponsored by American Cultural Studies, Justice and Peace Studies, Luann Dummer Center for Women and UST Women's Studies program.
