The Exempt Staff Council will host a brown bag “Immigration” discussion on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Virgil Wiebe, UST director of clinical education and associate professor in the School of Law, will lead the discussion from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 315, McNeely Hall, on the St. Paul campus.
The discussion will include historical, legal, and current and pressing immigration issues – from recent debates over border issues in Texas and Arizona, to legislative efforts at the state and national levels, to Hmong and Somali immigration in Minnesota, to the hot topic of immigration policy in the presidential race.
