“Integration: The Path to Inclusion” is the theme of the 23rd annual Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity, a national conference that will be held March 22 through 24 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Presented by the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas in partnership with the National Black MBA Association Twin Cities, the forum receives support from more than 90 firms and organizations.
Richard Davis, CEO of U.S. Bancorp, Andrés Tapia, chief diversity officer of Aon Hewitt, and Joyce Dubensky, CEO of the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding at Georgetown University will deliver keynote presentations.
The forum is designed for professionals who manage a diverse workforce or are responsible for diversity within organizations of all sizes. It also is recommended for anyone working with a multicultural clientele.
The pre-conference day of the forum features five professional-development institutes that provide in-depth information on fostering workplace diversity.
The two-day conference features 54 workshops, networking opportunities for the estimated 1,000 attendees from Minnesota and around the United States, a resource expo and a career fair associated with the conference that is open to the public.
The forum began in 1988 as a two-hour video conference and has grown into the nation’s leading conference for advancing diversity in the workplace. In addition to the forum’s professional staff, more than 60 volunteers assisted with planning workshops and logistics, and more than 90 volunteers will help staff the conference.
Participants can choose to attend only the institutes on March 22, workshops on March 23 or 24, or a combination of these. For more information or to register, visit the forum's website, call (651) 962-4377 or e-mail mcf@stthomas.edu.
