UST has become a member of Midwest Art Conservation Center, a regional conservation facility located in the Minneapolis Institute of Arts building, 2400 Third Ave. S. in Minneapolis.
Membership entitles the university to free in-lab reports on condition and proposals for conservation treatment, as well as a 15 percent discount on treatment rates. Other benefits include grant-writing assistance and consultations on preservation and conservation issues, access to MACC’s library and environmental monitoring equipment, and discounted rates for all MACC sponsored workshops. The center offers 24-hour disaster recovery assistance.
