Learn About Group Long Term Care at March 2 Presentation

Pam Devine from The David Agency will host a presentation for faculty and staff on Wednesday, March 2, concerning the Group Long Term Care insurance program offered through St. Thomas.

The brown bag presentation will be held from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. in Room 210, Aquinas Hall. Devine will explain how to protect yourself, your parents and other family members from the high cost of long term care. Comprehensive long term care coverage can help you:

  • Protect your savings and assets when you retire.
  • Stay in your own home to receive care as long as possible.
  • Relieve the burden of future care from loved ones.

Long term care may be one of the nation’s largest unfunded retirement liabilities. Many financial advisers now encourage their clients to consider long term care insurance when planning for their financial future.

With this group long term care insurance program, employees and their eligible family members – including spouse or partner, parents, in-laws, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and adult children over age 18 – may receive lower premiums (up to a 5 percent discount with an eligible Prudential plan). In addition, group coverage can move with you; a simple address change is all that’s needed if an employee leaves St. Thomas.
