Meet the candidates for dean of College of Arts and Sciences
The Academic Affairs Office announces open forums for faculty and staff and receptions for students to meet candidates for dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
Open forums for faculty and staff are scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. on the dates of candidates' visits. Letters of application and curriculum vitae will be available at the sessions or can be requested from Joyce Patten, (651) 962-6034.
Student receptions are scheduled from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. on dates of candidates' visits.

Tuesday, Nov. 29:
Dr. Stephen Scheck, acting dean of the Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering at Loyola Maryount University, Los Angeles. Scheck has a B.S. in zoology and an M.S. in biology from Fort Hays State University in Fort Hays, Kansas, and a Ph.D. in zoology from Iowa State University in Ames.

Student reception: 4:30-5:15 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge of Koch Commons.
Friday, Dec. 2
Dr. Christopher Duncan, professor and chair of the Department of Political Science, University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. Duncan has a B.A. in philosophy and political science from the University of Michigan, Dearborn, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from Wayne State University in Detroit.

Tuesday, Dec. 6
Dr. Marisa Kelly, senior associate dean of the College of the Pacific (liberal arts and sciences) of the University of the Pacific, Stockton, Calif. Kelly has a B.A. in government from California State University at Sacramento, an M.A. in political theory from San Francisco State University and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Kansas.

Thursday, Dec. 8
Dr. Brian Conniff, professor and chair of the Department of English, University of Dayton. Conniff has a B.A. in psychology from Rutgers University, an M.A. in English literature from the University of Scranton and a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Notre Dame.
