Over the course of 2023, the ITS/STELAR badging and microcredentials team and the School of Engineering labs have built and launched three new badges to equip students for hands-on work in the engineering labs. Spring Semester Parking Permit and Bus Pass Sales

Sales for spring semester parking permits started Monday, Dec. 18, through the Parking Portal. This includes Minneapolis and St. Paul campus commuter and adjunct parking permits, J-Term only permits and all student bus passes. The lottery for spring semester resident permits also opened Dec. 18. The deadline for entering the lottery is Friday, Jan. 26. Media Highlights: Mark Osler, professor at the School of Law, published an article in The Atlantic about petitions for clemency and how Minnesota reformed its system for granting mercy to those in prison.
Dr. Yohuru Williams, the founding director of the Racial Justice Initiative, joined New York Gov. Kathy Hochul for a historic bill signing in New York City. Williams was invited by the governor's office to attend the event and offer remarks that put the historic legislation into a historical context.
