The International Education Center was well-represented at the 63rd Annual NAFSA Association of International Educators conference, held May 30-June 3 in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada.
NAFSA is the world's largest nonprofit professional association dedicated to international education, and more than 8,000 international educators from around the world attended the annual conference. Presenters included:
- Maria Mantey and her St. Kate’s colleague Raine de Campeau presented their cutting-edge orientation delivery to more than 250 attendees in “Innovate Your Pre-departure Orientation to Engage Students and Enhance Intercultural Learning.”
- Christina Hilpipre-Frischman and ELS colleague Bonnie Olson participated in a poster session, “The Proof is in the Pudding: How Well Do Intensive English Programs Prepare Students for Academic Success?”
- Sarah Spencer served as a workshop trainer for “Preparing U.S.-based Faculty to Direct Programs.”
- Ann Hubbard was one of four NAFSA Trainer Corps members to deliver a 12-hour workshop, “Managing the Education Abroad Office.”
