'Renter Education' workshop is tonight

Unsure about housing plans for next year? Debating whether to live on, or off campus? Have questions about off-campus housing or the rental process? Want a chance to win $500 toward rent or other prizes?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, save some stress and attend the "Renter Education" workshop" from 7 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, Feb. 23, in O'Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium.

The "Renter Education" workshop is an informational session open to all students, but intended for students who are considering renting off-campus properties or weighing their housing options for the upcoming academic year.

During this workshop, students will learn about rental contracts and leases, how to be a good neighbor, the myths of living off campus and many other topics related to renting. Representatives from Residence Life will be available to answer questions about the room selection process for next year.

Take advantage of a chance to win many prizes, including $500 toward your first month's rent or on-campus housing costs (payment will be made directly to the landlord or Residence Life), and a total of 15 gift cards to Target, Ikea, Best Buy and the UST Bookstore, ranging from $25 to $100 in value. Free food will be available after the session.

This event is co-sponsored by the Commuter Center and Off-Campus Services, USG, STAR and RHA.
