Sophos Anti-Virus – now available for Macs using Windows

Sophos Anti-Virus is now available for Macs using Windows, and you can download if for free.
As mentioned in the recent Bulletin Today article “Eight Ways to Secure Your Computer and Online Identity,” it is important to keep your computer free of viruses and spyware. Having an updated anti-virus program is also a requirement for connecting your personal laptop to the UST Network.
Here at UST our licensing allows us to provide Sophos Anti-Virus software for free to students, faculty and staff. The latest version of Sophos is available for Windows, and we have recently updated the files to include the Mac operating system. (It’s true, Macs can and have been infected by viruses.) In addition to virus protection, Sophos also includes an effective anti-spyware component that can also help improve the performance of your computer.
